We’re bringing together 10-20 teams/runners to compete in a 5K race with a shared goal: raising $500 per team/runner to help fund Kim’s treatment. You can do this individually or with your friends. Why We Run: Kim’s Story

Why We Run: Kim’s Story
In 2016, Kim Nespoli faced a life-altering challenge: Stage 3 breast cancer. With incredible resilience, courage, and the unwavering support of her family and community, she fought and triumphed, becoming an inspiration to everyone who knew her. Whether as a devoted mother to her three children—Lily, Jack, and Jett—or as the beloved secretary at Salem Elementary, Kim has always been a pillar of strength and grace.

But in 2024, Kim’s battle took a heartbreaking turn when the cancer returned as Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer, spreading to her liver, lungs, and bones. Yet, Kim’s courage has never wavered. With the same grace that defines her, she continues to push forward, never once asking, “Why me?”

The Finish Line: A Community Celebration

After the relay, we’ll come together as a community to celebrate the teams, runners, and supporters who made this possible. Whether you ran, donated, or cheered, you’ll be part of the victory as we honor Kim’s bravery and strength. Tickets are $20 and include a complimentary wine tasting, so come enjoy great food, wine, and company while making a difference.

Donating: More Than Just Money

When we think of donating, we often think about financial contributions. But true generosity is about offering everything you have to give—your time, energy, love, passion, and positive thoughts. Donating can be as simple as sharing a kind word, offering your skills, or showing up with a spirit of compassion. It’s about cultivating a wise relationship with what you have to offer and recognizing that every contribution, no matter the form, makes a meaningful difference in Kim’s journey.

Spread the Word

Even if you can’t run or volunteer, simply sharing Kim’s story can make a huge impact. When more people hear about the relay and the GoFundMe campaign, we increase the chances of reaching our $100K goal. By spreading the word, you’re helping us build a community of support around Kim during this challenging time.

Volunteer

Volunteering is a powerful way to contribute even if you’re not running. We’re looking for helping hands to keep everything running smoothly on race day. From setting up the course to handing out water and cheering on participants, there’s a role for everyone. Your support ensures that the event is enjoyable and impactful for all involved. Come be part of something meaningful and show Kim that she’s surrounded by a community that cares.

Ready to Run? Join a Team!

You don’t have to be a captain to make a difference. If you’re eager to run and contribute to this meaningful cause, there’s a place for you.

Host a Mini-Fundraiser

Organize a bake sale, car wash, or unique idea with proceeds going toward Kim’s treatment. Every creative effort helps build momentum toward our collective goal. Plus, we’ll recognize your contributions and celebrate your impact during the Finish Line celebration—showing how your initiative made a difference!

Offer In-Kind Support

If you have a business or service that could contribute to the event (like providing snacks, photography, or promotional materials), your generosity can help make this relay a day to remember.
